When our Lord Jesus Christ was in the
world, He was so powerful and so influential that He kings and other leaders
noticed him. In the gospel of Matthew 14:1-12 Herod the tetrarch heard about
the fame of Jesus; and he said to his servants, “This is John the Baptist, he
has been raised from the dead; that is why these powers are at work in him.”
Our Lord Jesus Christ was even more powerful and more famous than John the
Baptist. John the Baptist himself told his fellow Jews that he is not even
worthy to untie his sandals (John 1:27). This same John the Baptist is the one
greater than all those that were born of women. With this, it is clear that our
Lord Jesus Christ is greater than the greatest and Mightier than the mightiest.
To him be glory and praise both now and forvermore - Amen!
